First Night Sneak Peak

Join us for the First Night Sneak Peak at the Music Road Convention Center on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 beginning at 6:00 pm.  Enjoy greeting old friends and making new acquaintances.  Instructors, vendors and sponsors will be on hand for questions and to meet your quilting needs.  Enjoy a special showing of the quilts and shop for unique items prior to the public opening.  Come to meet and greet as we kick off “A Mountain Quiltfest 2011”!

Antique Quilt Bed Turning

The Antique Quilt Bed Turning is back again this year by popular demand.  This event, held each day in the lobby of the Music Road Hotel and Convention Center, will highlight quilts made before 1961.

• Wednesday, March 9th – Saturday, March 12th at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 4:00pm
• Sunday, March 13th at 10:00am and 1:00pm
  

 

Quilt Appraiser

Sandra Palmer, an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser, joins us again this year from Vermont as our quilt appraiser.   She requires pre-registration for an appraisal and each quilt being appraised requires a 30-minute time slot.  The charge is $40.00 for one quilt, three or more $35.00 each, and five or more $30.00 each.  Appraisals will be conducted in a private room at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center. 
Sandra will be available to appraise quilts according to the following schedule:

• Thursday, March 10th
• Friday, March 11th
• Saturday, March 12th
• Sunday, March 13th

Show & Tell

All participants are cordially invited to bring their quilted items, cameras and friends to the Annual A Mountain Quiltfest Show & Tell on Friday, March 11, 2011, beginning at 7:00 pm (Doors open at 6:00pm) at the Grand Majestic Theater.

• One ticket for each 100% cotton/quilt shop quality Children’s bright fat quarter donated
